I did seem to get my two instances of my number working on GrandStream
and ZyXel working ... but I have had the ZyXel off-line for a couple of days
pondering the lack of VMWI.

So its a nice simple setup with GS only behind a NAT connection.

When VMWI was introduced, my phone never lit,
but I would have a stutter tone
and the GS would blink green.

The last few days, I still get messages, but I can only tell
if I dial 123 to check or check my email notices.

Just wondering if this is true for everyone, or if its just me?
The only thing different I did for voicemail was turn off the
SMS messages.

I still wish I could assign SMS to a Group or have radio buttons
to add or remove VM/attachments/SMS for each group.

Stutter Tone is back :)

(And some old messages reappeared)

I will test more when the wife is up! (Our weekend has begun.)

"Would you like all of us to call you to test?;)"

:)

UPDATE:

When I add a second device with the primary number,
I get no audio on incoming calls only (both directions).

Each reboot puts another entry on vPanel.
Since it likely rings a number/port I don't think it handles that well.

Take the extra ATA away, wait for the devices to settle,
and all is well again (and VM works for stutter tone.)

I have been sending feedback about the tests today to a support ticket that started with as
Grandstream and ZyXel, both using 313-432-xxxx primary number

I think it is a good idea to reboot your router when adding/swapping ATA's around. It seems that routers are slow to send packets to the right ATA after changes are made.

Ray is going through all the VM areas to double check and will reply in ticket, but I think part of the problem is multiple registrations. It's not something we officially support, but we don't block it either. Since we don't officially offer it though, most features are not designed with it in mind and there may be some issues.

I know you also ran into some issues with it with just the single registration from GS and that's the main area he's looking into.

I quite agree. (It an unsupported "feature")

If you don't discourage it and it does not work,
then you will likely get calls. (That you must turn away.)
I hope the tests are going to prepare VOIPo. I will abide
by any policy VOIPo will require as a permanent customer.
As Beta, you want us to push the limits :)

I thought you might push GS and Soft Phone on one line?
Not sure what your Soft Phone strategy is now?
Just another BYOD-like single device offering?

Well typically users aren't using the softphone and ATA both at the same time. They just sign in to use the softphone when traveling or something along those lines.

I would declare your Voicemail and Routing options are now better than all services I have tested now! (Not sure how to tell if I am migrated yet. It would be nice if your device menu in vPanel told me what server it is associated with ...) In any case I love the phone blinking with messages left. I just set it as all unknown to voicemail, and the house stays mostly quiet.

Those in my phone book that are friends, family, or work get through just fine. :)

Thank you for routing, phone book, and VMWI.
They are now first class IMHO.
You new wave of users will be in Heaven! :)
