Just wanted to make my point clear i hope they all melt into nothing!!!!!!
Just curious...why?
Tried it at a friends house today WORST call quality ever! lol
You get what you pay for :)
Did you replace it with a beta test account?
Never got into illegal drugs, Skype, or Magic Jack.
Glad I tried VOIPo :)
Having used MagicJack for over a year now I can say that so far it has been more reliable than Voipo. I bought my first jack in Jan 2009, it was somewhat buggy then, but by mid February it got better. I bought a 2nd unit about 3 months ago.
I have NOT had a dropped call with MJ, had 1 today with Voipo.
MJ is much more tolerant of other traffic running on my network, although it will have some audio dropouts at times, but does not drop the call.
I added traffic shaping rules to my router to give my voipo ATA the second highest priority in passing traffic, never did anything with MJ.
This morning a client called and the call got dropped. I called her back and got a fast busy, but she said my caller ID showed up on both of her lines.
Obviously voipo's tech support is better, they speak English, and seem to be techs, not script readers. I am still working on a problem with my mom's sytem.
Tim - Is there a list of routers that you recommend / have the least problems with? Mom's Airlink does not want to forward ports 5060-5080 to the ATA.
I not that technical so I don't really have a personal recommendation, but I'm sure some others can give their feedback.
Generally if you have connection issues with registrations or staying t to connected, you want to forward 5060-5080. If audio issues (one way/no audio) or dropped calls, you want to forward 35000-65000.
I'm sure one of our tech guys can reply with some suggestions tomorrow.
