Re: International Calling
I am inclined to side with you about this... I just don't see the majority of my customers using the international calling. Perhaps Mexico...
But good idea, just remove it.
I also keep my VoIPo account set at block international. The few times I did need it I had no problems flipping the switch on. - Don't need any surprises.
I found this to be interesting reading... don't know the reliability but interesting non the less. http://www.insight-corp.com/pr/05_20_05.asp

Realistic or not.)
When International calling is not permitted, can the Control Panel remove the
"Block International Calls", "Allow International Calls" from the Features page?

Do you have any stats on how popular international calling is for VOIPo?
Is it say, 50% of the customer base?
On my VOIPo account, I keep it at
"Block International Calls".
Much much less than 50%. I don't have the exact figure, but it's definitely less than 5%. We only bill a couple thousand dollars a month of intenational...almost nothing in comparison to other revenue.
It could be a little skewed though because our international rates are high so we don't attract a lot of people that use it and if they do some use calling cards. We're working on adding some more international carrier partners to get the rates down and I expect it'll change a little at that point but don't ever think it'll be much.
Re: International Calling
Anywhere to see what the rates are?
Re: International Calling
International Rates are available here...
http://www.voipo.com/intrates.php?showall=true
International Rates for resellers are the same as International Rates for VOIPo's residential customers at this time.
