Link to Line Number Portability Test
Tim,
Did you put a link to LNP check on a DSLR thread?
Or maybe it was a link to the Rate Centers you have available?
Either case, if these tools exist, you should add them to your info page.
http://forums.voipo.com/showthread.php?t=413
I see you did add https://billing.voipo.com/order and thats a good idea.
Re: Link to Line Number Portability Test
When testing you sign-up page, Wildwood FL for example comes up "None Available".
Would it be better to say "Contact Sales@VOIPo.com"?
I have a Wildwood number, so I know you can get them.
Someone may simply just give up and figure you are not ready for prime time yet.
How soon until you have your launch inventory?

It's being integrated now actually. Here is the dev form where it's being worked on: http://billing.voipo.com/devorder/
Right now the live form has State - Ratecenter - Number. We're moving to State - Area Code - Ratecenter - Number.
Basically as soon as we add the ratecenter filtering to the dev form and test it some more, it'll be ready to go. It's primarily a mix of Level3, Paetec and Global Crossing.
Also with the dev form, we're changing the porting process a little in that it will collect the porting form info and generate a printable PDF so the only thing to do is sign and fax in with a bill copy rather than filling it out by hand.
Re: Link to Line Number Portability Test
I randomly picked lots of numbers that say not available.
It makes it look like you have many rate centers and no stock.
(IA, FL, HI, MI tried.)
A bunch of dead ends is going to be frustrating to someone signing up.
Many will know locally, but struggle picking a virtual number.
Michigan/248 is too broad. Michigan/248/FARMINGTON(522) is better.
I see you that 248-522 is BROADWING COMMUNICATIONS, LLC - MI

Right now the dev seems to be State - Area Code - Number
- So in summary State - AREA CODE - Ratecenter(Exchange) - Number seems better.
- I would gray-out unavailable Exchanges.
- I would state that unavailable Exchanges can be special ordered.
- If you can't supply Hawaii, why make it look like you offer it?
Re: Link to Line Number Portability Test
Your live link will let the customer proceed without actually picking a number.
I can enter Missouri/Kansas City, then click proceed.
Re: Link to Line Number Portability Test
Very nice. :)
It shows a bunch of area codes for Washington that dont exist here. But probably bugs being worked out...
Re: Link to Line Number Portability Test
The inventory isn't loaded into it yet. That's why it's /devorder and not live :)

Basically just still need that ratecenter filtering + error checking.
It is now populated with phone numbers though (just sorted by area code).
If you want to get a feel for the launch numbers available though, they are pretty much populated though.
Re: Link to Line Number Portability Test
Also added about 1500 toll-free numbers as available. Ordered 5,000 of them for a HostGator promotion in Nov related to their new "Business Hosting Plan".
Re: Link to Line Number Portability Test
That looks really good. I would like to see the ratecenter first and then the phone number to choose. I think you mentioned this was going to happen though. I was looking for numbers in 616 Michigan but honestly I don't know which numbers belong to which ratecenter!
