I woke up this morning to find I had no dialtone, and no devices registered in Vpanel. I am using the new PAP2 I have had for a week with no problems. The web interface on the PAP says "Can't connect to login server". Darn.

It seems like I have connections to the following
UDP 192.168.168.50 35823 70.84.172.162 514 Highest
UDP 192.168.168.50 5060 74.52.58.50 5060 Highest
UDP 192.168.168.50 5079 74.52.58.50 5060 Highest
But I usually see all of the other backup systems. I have 5060 5062 5079, etc port forwarded. I am supposed to be registering to central01.
Sorry to be obnoxious with replying to myself, but I rebooted my ATA and it still won't connect. Everything else is working fine as far as Internet goes. Opened a ticket.
your not being obnoxious, but I wanted to point out that you can just edit your original post instead of replying to yourself. I reply to myself all the time, but it's usually a conversation in my head...lol
Are the port forwards the same as you had with the older 502 adapter (Or whatever)? Have you tried not doing any port forwarding (You really shouldn't use it unless you have one hell of a firewall setup)? Have you tried turning off any port forwarding and using DMZ? You've rebooted your PAP2T; have you tried rebooting your router? Anyway, just some ideas. Later... mike.....

You are right, I didn't even think about editing my first post! I was half asleep, what can I say.
I forwarded 5060-5080 and 16000-17000 so far, since that is what a few VOIPo tech people recommended. With my GS I didn't forward at first, but did after experiencing some problems, so it is still there. I might take all of that off and see how things go as an experiment. I ended up rebooting my router and then the ATA and it brought things back to life. I just found it strange that I could get on the Internet, VPN, everything internet-related worked great but the ATA could not talk to the outside world. I could get to the ATA inside address fine also. Oh well. I'll chalk this one up to a glitch in my router I suppose.
Did your PAP2 ge a different IP and hence the ports were routed away from it![]()
No, same IP because I have a DHCP reservation for the PAP's MAC address. I guess this was just a router glitch. It's the first time Tomato has failed me in a year...![]()
