Just to clarify - if I forget to hit the # before hanging up - the only way I can get the light off is to call my number and leave a message and then retrieve it and exit with the # sign. If there are no messages, the graceful exit doesn't work.

I will try your method, thanks! The wife is getting to the point where she doesn't even check the VM anymore as she just sees the light blinking constantly.
Same here - no stutter tone with MWI blinking after all messages deleted. I'll check the Voicemail Tone setting as well. I do get a stutter tone when there are messages waiting, however, so I'm thinking I may have this set to ON already. Will check to be sure when I get home. Thanks.

Hey guys -- we have restructured the MWI notifications. You should now have your MWI updated ~ every 5 minutes. Please advise if you continue to see any issues in relation to this, thanks!

Still not working for me. I confirmed that the Voicemail Tone was set to ON. However, the MWI light still blinks after I've deleted all messages. I waited over 10 minutes to see if the recent update may have fixed this. No joy yet.

Do you have port forwarding enabled? Basically when the MWI updates, it sends a signal to the ATA, but if the router doesn't let it through (some won't since there was no outgoing connection to initiate it...it considers it foreign), that could be an issue.

    Let me make a suggestion:

    Leave yourself a voicemail message.
If not already on, wait until the MWI light turns on.
Pick up the Voipo phone; you should hear stutter tone.
Using the website or another line (not a Voipo line), delete or listen to the voicemail message.
Watch the Line indicator on the PAP2, and see if/when it goes from slow flash to solid on.
Does your MWI stop flashing when the Line light is solid? When you pick up the phone, do you hear stutter tone?

If you still hear stutter tone (and Line light on the ATA continues to flash slowly), it's a problem with the MWI signal between Voipo and your ATA. If the Line light goes solid and stutter tone goes away but MWI light continues to flash/stays on, it's a problem between the ATA and your phone. This piece of information is critical to solving the problem.

Pretty sure I have the appropriate ports forwarded. I'll double-check when I get home to be sure.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give this a try when I'm home to watch everything.

One other thing--with the Voicemail Tone set to on (I think) it may take a little while for the light to clear. If it hasn't cleared within 30 minutes, it probably won't. The Uniden manual isn't super helpful--here's what it says about "Voicemail Tone":

Voice Mail Tone sets the voice mail tone. If your service does not support SDT
message signal, set your VMWI (Visual Message Waiting Inculcator) not to detect
    SDT message signal.
    1) Press the MENU soft key. Select the Global Setup menu, and then the Voice Mail
    Tone Submenu.
    2) Press volume up or volume down to set the
voice message indication (SDT message signal) to On or
    Off.
    3) Press the OK soft key. You will hear a confirmation tone.

    ---

Point is, I believe that with "Voicemail tone" set to ON, the phone is supposed to go off-hook now and again to see if the msg waiting light should be flashing or not. What I don't know is what triggers it to go off-hook. Obviously, if you pick up the line, you'll be able to tell if the stutter dial tone (SDT) is there or not, one would think the phone could, too.

I think that if you set the Voicemail Tone to OFF, the Uniden phones are supposed to look for the FSK signal from the ATA (which it should send). You might try the above test again with Voicemail Tone set to OFF. No guarantees, though.
