Switch 2nd line from Vonage?

Right now I have 1 line on Vonage, and another on Voipo. I have 2 VTAs, 1 for each provider.

I'd like to switch my Vonage line over to Voipo (so I end up with 2 phone numbers on Voipo). What is the cheapest and easiest way to do this?

In the end I'd like to end up with 1 VTA, the Voipo one with one port being my existing Voipo number, and the other being my (old) Vonage number.

Make Vonage an LNP to Virtual.
Then upgrade the Vonage number on Line-2.

Ok, I think I understand that. But, I assume that I am going to have to call support since that's not a typical thing.....

So when I call, I tell them I want a new virtual number -- but the number I want is going to be a transfer from Vonage, right? (and then the upgrade thing I can do in the cpanel)

Just call the support number and explain your situation. They will answer your questions and take care of you.

Yes, Support Ticket (using vPanel or support@voipo.com) is your best approach.

FYI...

I finally took the plunge and have started this transfer. So far everything is going like clockwork. Support completely understood what I was asking for, and the port is scheduled to be completed in a few weeks.

Once it completes, I'll be extending my account for 2 more years.

I was really worried about this switchover. Once again Voipo (much like their parent company HG always does) came through with flying colors.

The number ported shortly after 12:30 Eastern, exactly when they said it would. A quick log in to the vPanel to promote the 'virtual' number, swap the physical line from the old ATA to the Voipo one, and a quick reboot brought me up 100% on Voipo.

I had a self-inflicted billing snafu that was 100% my fault, and the tech staff took care of that quickly too!
