    Right!!!
    They are so similar!

Also know that multiple accounts can be accessible from one login if you went with the a la cart route.
It would get added to the drop-down at the top of vPanel
(But might need a support email unless they know in advance.)

Yet another great question! Due to the way our network is designed, that is one of the downsides of Option A - the call would simply ring to the same phone hooked up and would only go to voicemail upon any normal conditions that would send it there, i.e. no answer, network failover, etc.
Actually, when you set up voicemail for a virtual number you can specify how many times the phone should ring for calls going to that number (independent of your other number) and zero is an option. You can also set a different ring pattern for the second number so that you'll know which number is being called and whether you should let it go to voicemail or not.

I use "Option A" to have a distinct "line" for my freelance work. Since I'm not generally home when most of my prospective clients call, I use the separate voicemail to present a more professional message than I do for personal calls. I also set the rings to zero on that number when I'm not around so that those calls do not bother anyone else--though sometimes the phone will ring once.

So, here's the update: I requested to transfer over my AT&T number to VOIPo last week. The transfer happened today. I confirmed that my old number is now coming in on the ATA.

The problem that I'm having is that both my old number and my new number both ring both ports. I thought it would be that Phone #1 would ring port A, and Phone #2 would ring port B. Perhaps I don't have the settings correct in the vPanel?

What I don't understand is why this is a link that I can't seem to find under my Beta tab. Is there a separate set of links (like the upgrade_line) that I'm missing out on?

These are what I have under beta:
BetaFAX 2nd Line SMS Controls Simul Ring Call Recording Mobile Scheduling Caller-ID Distinctive Ring

If you don't have them all, a ticket should fix that. Glad it worked!

When they get their new interface, I hope the menus are more consistent, and will show in the same order. The order currently switches around when I go from my primary number to my upgraded virtual number. The order stays the same within a number interface though.

Here's my Beta Tab. There's no "2nd Line" option for me. However, the direct link worked. I guess I need to open a ticket.

BTW (and not to throw this discussion off track, but...) uploading images to this forum is not easy. For some reason, my attempts to upload images all result in either "invalid file" or "upload error". And just to be clear, I met the requirements on image and file size per the upload dialogue box. In the end, I had to revert to using photobucket to share the images. Not a major problem, but not ideal.
