What is Voipo Connect feature?

I have read in old online post that once you register a mobile number, you will be able to call Voipo access number to use Voipo network to make calls, for ex. international calls using your Voipo account from a mobile phone. Is this feature rolled out yet? If yes, how does this work?

Remote access feature was an alpha test they discontinued for now

I liked it for the odd call to Canada.
Most users can't access the old links I think?

Sad that they discontinued this feature. I subscribed to their International package and like to have this feature. Most of the international providers (like Local Phone) has this feature and it was one of the biggest selling point for me.

We actually never offered it. It was something we were talking about offering and had a prototype, but it was never added to the service.

It's something we may look at again in the future.

This is not something we've actively working on. We may consider it at some point, but for now it's not being offered.

As long as Google Voice offers free long distance calling I don't have a need for it, but if GV starts charging for it (they say it's free for 2011, no mention as to what happens in 2012), I'd find this feature useful.
