Thread: FXS Port Control

    Default FXS Port Control

I received a call this morning that didn't ring both line 1 and line 2 (went to Vpanel to investigate). Notice a new tab under the Beta tab that I didn't see before called "FXS Port Control"

Can someone elaborate on what these settings do? It appears that the default operation of both lines ringing, when a call comes in, has now changed.

Previously, if line 1 was off hook in a call and a second call came in, both lines would ring (line 1 would get the call waiting message and line 2 would physically ring).

Now it appears that if line 1 is off hook and in a call, only line 1 gets the call waiting message and line 2 doesn't even ring.

Everything is set to default on the FXS Port Control page.

And now, after watching the ATA reboot three times in a row automatically this morning around 6:30 AM, the original way it worked, both lines ringing on an incoming call, is now back.

Is there additional information somewhere regarding this feature?

There is another new feature as well: Beta/Misc/Busy Preferences. It currently allows routing to Voicemail or Busy. It would be nice if a "Forward To" route could be added.
