Default Setup of ATA behind or in frnot of Router?

I have had my ATA Setup between my modem and my router for a few months. I replaced my router (as it was failing) and removed my ATA so that the modem could see my router and my router assign DHCP, etc. Now that I need to implement my ATA again, I'm wondering if there is a way to place the ATA on the inside of my router. If so, what cables go into WAN & LAN and vice versa?

I assume I simply come out of the router and into the WAN of the ATA. Then, from the ATA LAN port directly to my primary computer. I am only using a softphone.

    Thanks,
    Brian

I had to set the device to be a bridge so it wouldn't hand out DHCP. And, once I entered my new password that was assigned in xLite, it appears it is working! Woohoo!

But, I am no longer able to get to the ATA device by going to 192.168.2.1 as I was earlier.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Brian

If the ATA is behind your router, then it would be the local address assigned by the router (192.168.x.x). Also, if your know the port the ATA is on (default 80) you can also access by your WAN IP.
