    Default Polycom provisioning

I have a Polycom SoundPoint IP335 phone and can not get it set up with VOIPo. I've already completed all the ATA setup and have tried to provision this thing but am not having any success. Is there anyone out there that has set up a Polycom phone with VOIPo?

    John,

Any luck solving this problem? I have an identical phone that I was told that I could use with VOIPO when I signed up for the service.

Now they are telling me to contact Polycom support which you know if you've tried is not possible.

I've noticed others in the forum looking to use Polycom equipment. You would think it would be worth VOIPOs time to research and provide instructions for users to access.

    Tim

Thats funny. They told me the same thing and then after my 30 days ran out they told me they don't provide technical support. No, I have not figured this out and I'm about ready to switch everything to another service because nothing has worked correctly and I have nothing but trouble with it. I'm currently using a 10 year old piece of crap analog phone just to get my calls. Good luck to you.

It's been Voipo's policy for over 2 years to not provide support for BYOD. They allow BYOD, but don't provide any technical support. They only support their own devices. You are basically on your own.

This is stated in the "Terms of Service" as well as their support FAQ's as noted below:

VOIPo provides support for using our service and provided hardware only.

Please be aware that VOIPo is not able to offer any assistance with the configuration or troubleshooting of a third party device.

And....I've been with them since the beta days years ago. I had previously tried a number of VOIP providers over the last 5 years before finding VOIPo and they are the best for me.
Yes, I use the provider supplied equipment and for me they have been top of the line.
