I'm actually glad to hear that. IMO, the primary reasons Asterisk voicemail is so popular is because it's free, it has a wide support base, and it works--even if a bit clumsily. Personally, I can't stand it.

Now, if you can integrate your homegrown voicemail system with the remote access feature that you were testing, I'd be very happy!
