It also depends on how frequently the maintenance needs to be done, and the duration of the maintenance window.
At the very least the poll should differentiate between routine maintenance and scheduled outages, and emergencies. It is easy to say sure, let's do our maintenance after hours. However, a 24/7 shop has to accommodate a wide range of situations.
And exactly when is off hours? Weekends? Night time? I call overrseas quite a bit, so my work/usage hours may not match yours/anyone else's.
