    NY Tel,
    I read that
I just wanna report that my wife 'discovered' it

    my wish list:
    1. Intelligent Call Forwarding that detects the incoming call originated from the "forwarded" phone and rings the original destination instead
    2. Call History that makes use of CallerID/Custom CallerID+Location. Call History only shows Custom CallerId+Loc. No CNAM look up; Albeitly,it's a step in the right direction!
    3. Scheduled sim. ring with a twist (see wish #1)

We can share the money Tim is going to pay us for saving him some development money since we solved the issue.

In my case I called the same number several times in a row and recieved the Goodbye message. Later when the call completed I asked my friend if he had been using the phone and he responded yes. If he had just dialed out I shouldn't have received the Goodbye message several times.

I could be wrong but I think he was talking on his phone when I was calling.

Does this friend have call waiting on his line?

Well then if he had been actively engaged in a call (speaking to someone, not dialing and not ringing a distant party) it should give you back a busy signal.
Unless he called a cell phone where there was no answer supervision.

My mom was on her phone talking when I experienced the Goodbye. She does not have call waiting. Also, it a POTS line (not cell).

Dunno if there's something systemic going on right now, but I got the "Goodbye" system reply a few times in a row when trying to dial directory assistnce. Waited a couple minutes, then it went through... <shrug>

The "goodbye" message you've been hearing was due to our software not correctly handling the Busy Signal. This has been corrected and you'll now hear a "Busy Signal" if the dialed number is indeed busy.

Still getting this today, trying to place a call to the East Coast.

Edit: Call went through several minutes later. Busy trunk? I have been experiencing this fairly often over the past week or so...
